Brolga
The Brolga is a large, elegant bird native to Australia and New Guinea. It is known for its long legs, slender neck, and striking gray plumage. Brolgas are often found in wetlands, grasslands, and open areas, where they feed on seeds, tubers, and small invertebrates.
These birds are famous for their elaborate courtship dances, which involve jumping, bowing, and flapping their wings. Brolgas typically mate for life and build their nests in shallow water, using reeds and grasses. They are also recognized as a symbol of cultural significance in various Indigenous Australian traditions.
