British Rule
British Rule refers to the period when the British Empire controlled various territories around the world, particularly from the 17th to the mid-20th century. This era saw the establishment of colonies in regions such as India, Africa, and the Caribbean, where British laws, culture, and economic systems were imposed on local populations.
During British Rule, significant changes occurred in governance, infrastructure, and trade. The British introduced new systems of administration, built railways and roads, and promoted the English language. However, this period was also marked by resistance and struggles for independence, leading to the eventual decolonization of many regions after World War II.
