Brigade Combat Teams
A Brigade Combat Team (BCT) is a key unit in the U.S. Army designed for combined arms operations. It typically consists of a mix of infantry, armor, and artillery units, allowing it to engage effectively in various combat scenarios. BCTs are structured to be self-sufficient, enabling them to operate independently or as part of larger formations.
There are three main types of BCTs: Infantry BCTs, Armored BCTs, and Stryker BCTs. Each type is tailored for specific missions and environments, with Infantry BCTs focusing on dismounted operations, Armored BCTs emphasizing heavy firepower, and Stryker BCTs utilizing wheeled vehicles for mobility and versatility.
