Breast Pump
A breast pump is a device used by nursing mothers to extract milk from their breasts. It can be manual or electric, allowing mothers to store milk for later use or to relieve discomfort caused by engorgement. Breast pumps are especially helpful for mothers who return to work or need to be away from their babies for extended periods.
Using a breast pump can also support breastfeeding by helping to maintain milk supply. Many mothers choose to pump to provide their babies with breast milk while still allowing others, such as caregivers, to feed the baby using a bottle. This flexibility can make breastfeeding more manageable for busy families.
