Brazilian Revolution
The Brazilian Revolution, also known as the Brazilian War of Independence, occurred between 1822 and 1824. It was a conflict that led to Brazil's independence from Portugal. The revolution was sparked by growing discontent with Portuguese rule, particularly after the Napoleonic Wars when the Portuguese royal family relocated to Brazil.
The revolution was marked by a series of battles and political maneuvers, culminating in the declaration of independence by Dom Pedro I on September 7, 1822. Following this, Brazil faced internal conflicts, including resistance from loyalists to Portugal, but ultimately secured its independence, establishing itself as an empire.
