Brazilian Languages
Brazil is a linguistically diverse country, home to over 200 languages. The official language is Portuguese, which is spoken by the vast majority of the population. This language was introduced during the colonial period when Brazil was a colony of Portugal.
In addition to Portuguese, many indigenous languages are spoken, such as Guarani and Tupi. These languages reflect the rich cultural heritage of Brazil's indigenous peoples. Some regions also have communities that speak Spanish, Italian, and German, showcasing the country's multicultural influences.
