Brain Lateralization
Brain lateralization refers to the specialization of the two hemispheres of the brain, where each side is responsible for different functions. The left hemisphere is typically associated with language, analytical thinking, and logical reasoning, while the right hemisphere is linked to creativity, spatial awareness, and emotional processing. This division allows for more efficient processing of information.
Research in neuroscience has shown that while both hemispheres communicate through the corpus callosum, certain tasks may be performed more effectively by one side. For example, individuals with damage to the left hemisphere may struggle with speech, while those with right hemisphere damage may have difficulty recognizing faces or interpreting emotions.
