Brahui language
The Brahui language is a Dravidian language primarily spoken in the Balochistan region of Pakistan. It is unique among Dravidian languages as it is geographically isolated from other Dravidian-speaking areas, which are mainly in southern India. Brahui has several dialects and is used by the Brahui people, who have a rich cultural heritage.
Brahui is written in the Perso-Arabic script and has borrowed vocabulary from languages such as Persian, Arabic, and Sindhi. Despite its distinctiveness, the language faces challenges due to declining numbers of speakers and the influence of dominant regional languages. Efforts are being made to preserve and promote Brahui culture and language.
