Bowen's Disease
Bowen's Disease is a type of skin cancer known as squamous cell carcinoma in situ. It appears as a slow-growing, scaly patch on the skin, often found on sun-exposed areas like the face, neck, and hands. The lesions can be red or brown and may be itchy or painful.
This condition is usually caused by prolonged exposure to ultraviolet (UV) radiation from the sun or tanning beds. While it is not life-threatening, early diagnosis and treatment are important to prevent progression to invasive cancer. Treatment options include topical therapies, cryotherapy, and surgical removal.
