Bosnian Politics
Bosnian politics is characterized by a complex system established after the Bosnian War in the 1990s. The country is divided into two main entities: the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Republika Srpska, each with its own government. Additionally, the Brčko District serves as a self-governing administrative unit.
The political landscape is influenced by ethnic divisions among the three main groups: Bosniaks, Serbs, and Croats. This division often leads to coalition governments and challenges in achieving consensus on national issues, impacting governance and reforms in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
