Boris III of Bulgaria
Boris III of Bulgaria was the Tsar of Bulgaria from 1918 until his death in 1943. He was born on January 30, 1894, and became king after the abdication of his father, Tsar Ferdinand I. Boris III's reign was marked by significant political changes, including Bulgaria's involvement in both World Wars.
During his rule, Boris III sought to maintain Bulgaria's independence and navigate the complex political landscape of Europe. He initially aligned with the Axis powers during World War II but later attempted to negotiate peace with the Allies. His unexpected death in 1943 led to a power struggle in Bulgaria.
