Bodo people
The Bodo people are an indigenous ethnic group primarily found in the northeastern state of Assam, India. They speak the Bodo language, which belongs to the Bodo-Garo branch of the Tibeto-Burman language family. Traditionally, the Bodo people are known for their rich cultural heritage, including unique festivals, music, and dance forms.
Historically, the Bodo community has faced challenges related to identity and land rights, leading to movements for greater autonomy and recognition. They are primarily agrarian, relying on agriculture and fishing for their livelihood, and have a strong connection to their land and natural resources.
