Boddington Gold Mine
The Boddington Gold Mine is located in Western Australia, approximately 130 kilometers southeast of Perth. It is one of the largest gold mines in the country and began operations in 1987. In 2009, the mine underwent a significant expansion, which increased its production capacity. The Boddington operation is owned by Newmont Corporation, a leading global gold producer. The mine plays a crucial role in the local economy, providing jobs and contributing to the region's development.
