Blue Penguin
The Blue Penguin, also known as the Little Penguin, is the smallest species of penguin, standing about 12 to 13 inches tall. They are native to the southern coasts of Australia and New Zealand. Their distinctive blue feathers give them their name, and they have a white belly, which helps them blend into the ocean when viewed from above.
These penguins are known for their social behavior, often living in large colonies. They primarily feed on small fish and squid, which they catch while swimming. Blue Penguins are also unique for their nocturnal habits, coming ashore at night to avoid predators.
