Black Farmers
Black farmers are individuals of African descent who engage in agriculture, cultivating crops and raising livestock. Historically, they have faced significant challenges, including discrimination and limited access to land, resources, and financial support. Despite these obstacles, many Black farmers have made important contributions to the agricultural sector and local economies.
In the United States, the number of Black farmers has declined over the years, but organizations like the Black Farmers Association work to support and empower them. These groups advocate for equitable policies, provide resources, and promote sustainable farming practices to help Black farmers thrive in a competitive industry.
