Bhojpatra tree
The Bhojpatra tree, scientifically known as *Betula utilis*, is a deciduous tree native to the Himalayan region. It typically grows at altitudes between 2,500 and 3,600 meters. The tree is known for its distinctive white bark, which peels off in thin layers, and its leaves are ovate with serrated edges.
This tree holds cultural significance in various regions, particularly in Hinduism, where its bark has been traditionally used for writing sacred texts. The inner bark is also used in traditional medicine and as a source of paper, known as Bhojpatra, which is valued for its durability and resistance to decay.
