Bhikkhu Bodhi
Bhikkhu Bodhi is an American Buddhist monk and scholar known for his extensive work in translating and interpreting the teachings of the Buddha. Born in 1944, he became a monk in the Theravada tradition and has spent many years studying the Pali Canon, the scriptures of early Buddhism.
He is the founder of the Buddhist Publication Society in Sri Lanka and has published numerous books and articles that make Buddhist teachings accessible to a wider audience. His translations, including the Majjhima Nikaya, are highly regarded for their clarity and accuracy, contributing significantly to the understanding of Buddhist philosophy.
