Bharatiya Jana Sangh
The Bharatiya Jana Sangh was a political party in India founded in 1951 by Syama Prasad Mukherjee. It aimed to promote Hindu nationalism and sought to unite various cultural and social groups under a common national identity. The party emphasized the importance of Indian culture and values in governance and policy-making.
In 1977, the Bharatiya Jana Sangh merged with several other parties to form the Janata Party. However, in 1980, it was re-established as the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), which has since become one of the major political parties in India, continuing the legacy of the Jana Sangh's ideals.
