Bharal
The Bharal, also known as the blue sheep, is a species of wild sheep found in the mountainous regions of the Himalayas, particularly in Nepal, India, and Tibet. They are well-adapted to steep, rocky terrains and are known for their agility and strong climbing abilities. Bharals have a distinctive bluish-gray coat, which helps them blend into their rocky surroundings, and they typically weigh between 30 to 50 kilograms.
Bharals are herbivores, primarily feeding on grasses, herbs, and shrubs. They live in herds, which provide protection against predators such as snow leopards and wolves. Their social structure is often led by a dominant male, and they are known for their seasonal migrations in search of food and suitable habitats.
