Beta Velorum B
Beta Velorum B is a binary star system located in the constellation Vela, approximately 24 light-years from Earth. It consists of two stars: a primary star, Beta Velorum A, which is a bright blue giant, and its companion, Beta Velorum B, a smaller and fainter star.
Beta Velorum A is classified as a spectral type B2, indicating it is much hotter and more massive than our Sun. The two stars orbit each other with a period of about 78 years, making them an interesting subject for astronomers studying stellar evolution and dynamics in binary systems.
