Berengar I
Berengar I was a king of Italy and a significant figure in the early medieval period. He ruled from 888 to 924 and was a member of the Carolingian dynasty. His reign was marked by political instability and conflicts with rival factions, including the Holy Roman Empire.
In 915, Berengar I was crowned emperor by Pope John X, which solidified his authority in Italy. However, his rule faced challenges from other claimants to the throne, leading to a fragmented political landscape. He eventually lost power and was succeeded by Hugh of Arles in 926.
