Benzoin
Benzoin is a resin obtained from the bark of certain trees in the genus Styrax. It has a sweet, vanilla-like aroma and is commonly used in perfumes, incense, and traditional medicine. Benzoin is often found in the form of small, hard, yellowish-brown crystals.
In addition to its fragrance, benzoin has antiseptic and anti-inflammatory properties, making it useful in various health applications. It is also used as a fixative in the production of essential oils and in the formulation of cosmetics. Benzoin can be found in both natural and synthetic forms.
