Benign Tumor
A benign tumor is a non-cancerous growth of cells that does not invade nearby tissues or spread to other parts of the body. These tumors can occur in various organs and are usually slow-growing. While they can cause problems if they press on surrounding structures, they are generally not life-threatening.
Benign tumors are often diagnosed through imaging tests like X-rays or MRI scans. Treatment may involve monitoring the tumor or surgical removal if it causes discomfort or other issues. Unlike malignant tumors, benign tumors do not require aggressive treatments like chemotherapy or radiation therapy.
