Belgian Federalism
Belgian Federalism is a political system that divides powers between the national government and regional governments. Belgium is divided into three regions: Flanders, Wallonia, and the Brussels-Capital Region. Each region has its own government and parliament, responsible for local matters such as education, transportation, and health care.
In addition to regional governments, Belgium has three language communities: Flemish, French, and German. These communities manage cultural and educational affairs. This complex structure aims to accommodate the country's linguistic and cultural diversity, allowing different groups to govern themselves while maintaining a unified state.
