Flemish Community
The Flemish Community is one of the three main linguistic communities in Belgium, primarily representing the Dutch-speaking population in the northern region known as Flanders. It has its own government and parliament, which manage cultural, educational, and welfare matters for the Flemish people.
Established in 1970, the Flemish Community operates under the framework of Belgium's federal structure. It promotes the Dutch language and oversees various cultural institutions, including museums and libraries, to preserve and enhance Flemish heritage. The community also plays a role in regional economic development and social services.
