Begum Jahanara
Begum Jahanara was the eldest daughter of the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan and his wife Mumtaz Mahal. Born in 1614, she played a significant role in the Mughal court and was known for her intelligence, beauty, and artistic talents. Jahanara was a patron of the arts and contributed to the cultural life of her time, promoting literature and architecture.
She is also famous for her close relationship with her father, Shah Jahan, especially during his imprisonment by her brother Aurangzeb. Jahanara was a skilled diplomat and helped maintain stability in the empire during turbulent times. Her legacy includes the beautiful Jahanara Mosque in Delhi.
