Battersea Power Station
Battersea Power Station is a former coal-fired power plant located on the south bank of the River Thames in London, England. Built between 1929 and 1939, it was one of the largest brick buildings in Europe and was known for its iconic four chimneys. The station provided electricity to much of London until it was decommissioned in 1983.
After years of neglect, Battersea Power Station underwent extensive redevelopment and is now a mixed-use complex featuring residential, commercial, and leisure spaces. The site is also home to the Battersea Power Station Development Company, which has transformed the area into a vibrant community hub.
