Baruch Goldstein
Baruch Goldstein was an American-Israeli physician and a member of the Jewish Defense League. He is infamously known for the 1994 Cave of the Patriarchs massacre in Hebron, where he opened fire on Palestinian worshippers, killing 29 and injuring over 100. This attack occurred during the Muslim holy month of Ramadan and sparked widespread violence and unrest in the region.
Goldstein was born in 1956 in the United States and later immigrated to Israel. He was a controversial figure, viewed by some as a martyr and by others as a terrorist. His actions have had a lasting impact on Israeli-Palestinian relations and continue to be a point of contention in discussions about violence and extremism.
