Bartram Trail
The Bartram Trail is a scenic hiking path located in the southern Appalachian Mountains, primarily in North Carolina and Georgia. Named after the 18th-century botanist William Bartram, the trail spans approximately 115 miles and showcases diverse ecosystems, including forests, streams, and mountain vistas.
Established in the 1970s, the Bartram Trail is part of the Bartram Trail Society, which aims to preserve and promote the trail's natural beauty and historical significance. Hikers can enjoy various sections of the trail, with opportunities for camping, wildlife observation, and experiencing the rich flora and fauna of the region.
