The Barker-Karpis gang was a notorious criminal group active in the United States during the 1930s. Led by brothers Fred and Arthur Barker, along with George "Baby Face" Nelson and Alvin Karpis, the gang was involved in bank robberies, kidnappings, and other violent crimes. They gained infamy for their daring heists and confrontations with law enforcement. The gang's activities drew the attention of the FBI, leading to a nationwide manhunt. In 1936, several members were captured or killed, and by the early 1940s, the gang had largely disbanded. The capture of Karpis marked the end of their criminal reign.
