Barcino
Barcino was the ancient Roman name for the city now known as Barcelona, located in Spain. Founded around 15 BC, it served as a military outpost and later developed into a thriving settlement. The city was strategically positioned near the Mediterranean Sea, which facilitated trade and cultural exchange.
Today, remnants of Barcino can be seen in the Gothic Quarter of Barcelona, where ancient Roman walls and structures still stand. Archaeological sites, such as the Barcelona History Museum, showcase artifacts and ruins that provide insight into the daily life and urban planning of this historic Roman city.
