Banu Nadir
The Banu Nadir was a Jewish tribe that lived in the region of Medina during the time of the Prophet Muhammad. They were known for their wealth and agricultural skills, particularly in date cultivation. The tribe initially had a peaceful relationship with the early Muslim community.
However, tensions arose after the Battle of Uhud, leading to conflicts between the Banu Nadir and the Muslims. In 625 CE, the tribe was expelled from Medina following a failed assassination attempt on Muhammad. They later settled in the region of Khaybar and continued to play a role in the history of early Islamic society.
