Banner System
The Banner System was a military organization used by the Manchu rulers of the Qing Dynasty in China. It divided the military into different groups, known as "banners," which were originally formed to help the Manchu conquer China. Each banner consisted of soldiers and their families, creating a distinct social and military structure.
Over time, the Banner System became a way to manage the Manchu population and maintain loyalty to the Qing government. It played a crucial role in the administration and military of the dynasty, influencing social hierarchy and governance until the fall of the Qing in the early 20th century.
