Baltic languages
The Baltic languages are a branch of the Indo-European language family primarily spoken in the Baltic region of Europe. This group includes two main languages: Lithuanian and Latvian. Both languages have preserved many archaic features that provide insights into the history of the Indo-European languages.
These languages are characterized by their complex inflectional systems and rich vocabulary. Lithuanian is known for its conservative nature, retaining many ancient linguistic elements, while Latvian has undergone more significant changes over time. Together, they represent a unique linguistic heritage in Europe.
