Baldwin V Of Jerusalem
Baldwin V of Jerusalem was a young king who ruled the Kingdom of Jerusalem from 1185 to 1186. He became king at just nine years old after the death of his father, Baldwin IV, who had suffered from leprosy. Baldwin V's reign was short and marked by political instability, as he was unable to effectively govern due to his age and health issues.
After Baldwin V's death in 1186, the kingdom faced a succession crisis. His passing led to a power struggle among the nobility, which weakened the kingdom and contributed to its vulnerability against external threats, particularly from Saladin and his forces.
