Baldwin II of Constantinople
Baldwin II of Constantinople was the last Latin Emperor of Constantinople, ruling from 1228 to 1261. He was born around 1217 and was the son of Baldwin I, the first Latin Emperor. His reign was marked by political instability and the decline of Latin power in the region, as he struggled to maintain control over the city amid external threats.
During his rule, Baldwin II faced challenges from the Byzantine Empire and other rival factions. In 1261, he lost Constantinople to the Byzantines, leading to the end of Latin rule in the city. After his defeat, he lived in exile and died around 1273.
