Badtjala
Badtjala is an Indigenous Australian group from the region of K'gari, also known as Fraser Island, located off the coast of Queensland. The Badtjala people have a rich cultural heritage, with a deep connection to the land, sea, and their ancestral traditions. Their language, also called Badtjala, is part of the Pama-Nyungan language family.
The Badtjala community has worked to preserve their cultural practices and language, especially in the face of historical challenges. They engage in various initiatives to promote awareness of their history and rights, contributing to the broader understanding of Indigenous cultures in Australia.
