BBS (Bulletin)
A BBS, or Bulletin Board System, is a computer system that allows users to connect and share information through a network. Originally popular in the 1980s and 1990s, BBSs provided a platform for users to post messages, share files, and engage in discussions. They were accessed via a modem and often featured various topics, including hobbies, technology, and local news.
Users would dial into a BBS using their phone line, and once connected, they could read and post messages on different boards. While BBSs have largely been replaced by the internet and social media, they played a significant role in the early days of online communication and community building.
