Ayutthaya Kingdom
The Ayutthaya Kingdom was a powerful Thai kingdom that existed from 1351 to 1767. It was located in present-day Thailand and became a major center for trade and culture in Southeast Asia. The kingdom was known for its impressive architecture, including grand temples and palaces, which reflected a blend of Khmer, Sukhothai, and Chinese influences.
At its height, the Ayutthaya Kingdom controlled vast territories and engaged in trade with various countries, including China, Japan, and Europe. The kingdom fell to the Burmese in 1767, leading to its decline and the eventual rise of the Rattanakosin Kingdom. Today, the ruins of Ayutthaya are a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
