Austronesian Peoples
The Austronesian peoples are a diverse group of ethnicities that primarily inhabit regions across the Pacific Ocean, Southeast Asia, and parts of Madagascar. They are known for their seafaring skills and have historically engaged in long-distance ocean voyages, which facilitated the spread of their languages and cultures across vast distances.
Austronesian languages form one of the largest language families in the world, including languages such as Tagalog, Malay, and Hawaiian. The Austronesian migration is believed to have begun around 3000 BCE, leading to the establishment of communities on islands like Fiji, Samoa, and Tonga.
