Austro-Turkish Wars
The Austro-Turkish Wars were a series of military conflicts between the Habsburg Monarchy and the Ottoman Empire from the late 17th to the 18th centuries. These wars were primarily fought over territorial disputes in Central and Southeastern Europe, as both powers sought to expand their influence in the region.
The most notable conflicts include the Great Turkish War (1683-1699) and the Austro-Turkish War (1716-1718). The wars resulted in significant territorial changes, with the Habsburgs gaining control over parts of Hungary and the Balkans, while the Ottoman Empire began to lose its dominance in Europe.
