Austrian parliament
The Austrian Parliament is the national legislative body of Austria, consisting of two chambers: the National Council and the Federal Council. The National Council has 183 members elected by the public, while the Federal Council represents the nine federal states of Austria. Together, they create and pass laws, oversee the government, and discuss important national issues.
The Parliament meets in the Palais Epstein in Vienna, where it conducts its sessions. Members of Parliament (MPs) work on various committees to address specific topics, such as finance, education, and health. The Parliament plays a crucial role in shaping Austria's policies and governance.
