Aurobindo
Aurobindo, formally known as Sri Aurobindo, was an Indian nationalist, philosopher, and spiritual leader born in 1872. He played a significant role in the Indian independence movement and later became a prominent figure in the development of modern Indian philosophy. Aurobindo's writings emphasized the integration of spirituality and material life, advocating for a transformative approach to human consciousness.
In addition to his political activism, Aurobindo founded the Sri Aurobindo Ashram in Pondicherry, where he developed his spiritual teachings. His philosophy, known as Integral Yoga, seeks to harmonize the physical, mental, and spiritual aspects of life, aiming for a higher state of consciousness and self-realization.
