Augusta of Saxe-Weimar
Augusta of Saxe-Weimar was a German princess born on January 21, 1811. She was the daughter of Charles Frederick, Grand Duke of Saxe-Weimar and Maria Pavlovna of Russia. Augusta became known for her cultural contributions and her role in the arts during her lifetime.
In 1828, she married Ernest I, Duke of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha, strengthening ties between their families. Augusta was involved in various charitable activities and supported education and the arts. She passed away on April 7, 1890, leaving a legacy of cultural influence in her region.
