Athaliah
Athaliah was a queen of Judah and the daughter of Ahab, the king of Israel, and Jezebel. She is known for her ruthless ambition, as she sought to secure her power by eliminating her own family members. After the death of her son, Ahaziah, she seized the throne and ruled for six years.
During her reign, Athaliah attempted to eradicate the worship of Yahweh and promote the worship of Baal, following her mother's influence. Her rule ended when Jehoiada, a high priest, led a revolt against her, ultimately resulting in her execution and the restoration of the Davidic line.
