Astrodome
The Astrodome, located in Houston, Texas, is a multi-purpose stadium that opened in 1965. It was the first indoor stadium to feature a fully air-conditioned environment and a retractable roof. Originally built for baseball and football, it became home to the Houston Astros and the Houston Oilers.
The Astrodome is often referred to as the "Eighth Wonder of the World" due to its innovative design and engineering. Over the years, it has hosted various events, including concerts, rodeos, and even disaster relief efforts. Although it is no longer used for regular sporting events, it remains a significant landmark in Houston.
