Asthenopia
Asthenopia, commonly known as eye strain, is a condition characterized by discomfort or fatigue in the eyes. It often occurs after prolonged activities that require intense focus, such as reading, using a computer, or staring at a smartphone. Symptoms may include blurred vision, headaches, and dry or irritated eyes.
The condition can result from various factors, including poor lighting, incorrect prescription glasses, or improper viewing distances. To alleviate symptoms, individuals are encouraged to take regular breaks, adjust their work environment, and ensure they have the correct eyewear.
