Asteroid 1002
Asteroid 1002, also known as Béla, is a small celestial body located in the Main Asteroid Belt between the orbits of Mars and Jupiter. It was discovered on March 1, 1923, by the astronomer K. W. Reinmuth. This asteroid is classified as a C-type asteroid, which means it is composed mainly of carbonaceous materials.
With a diameter of approximately 20 kilometers, Asteroid 1002 has an irregular shape and reflects very little sunlight. Its orbit around the Sun takes about 4.5 years to complete. Studying asteroids like Béla helps scientists understand the early solar system and the formation of planets.
