Assumption of Risk
The "Assumption of Risk" is a legal doctrine that holds individuals responsible for the risks they voluntarily take when participating in certain activities. This means that if someone chooses to engage in a potentially dangerous activity, like skydiving or playing contact sports, they acknowledge and accept the inherent risks involved.
In many cases, participants may be required to sign a waiver or release form, which outlines these risks. By doing so, they agree not to hold others, such as event organizers or facility owners, liable for injuries that may occur as a result of those risks.
