Aspen Trees
Aspen trees are deciduous trees known for their striking white bark and vibrant yellow leaves in the fall. They belong to the genus Populus and are commonly found in North America, particularly in mountainous regions. Aspens grow in clusters, as they reproduce through a root system that allows new trees to sprout from the same root network.
These trees can reach heights of 20 to 80 feet and thrive in well-drained soils. Quaking aspen, a popular species, gets its name from the way its leaves tremble in the wind. Aspens are also important for wildlife, providing habitat and food for various animals.
